No more floppy diskettes - use SD memory cards for your S2, S3 and S4 robotic systems!
SWEROB SERVICE has developed a new product (called DDR for short) to eliminate the use of floppy diskettes when programming, rebooting and handling programs on older ABB robotic systems.
The DDR unit itself replaces the floppy drive and uses an SD memory card that can store 200 3.5" floppy diskettes.
The floppy diskettes usually mean trouble. They break easily and are sensitive to dust and dirt. Daily backups, loading and saving of programs wear the diskettes down at a fast pace.
The SD memory card on the other hand can store a lot of data, which provides an easy way to gather all programs and backups in one place.
The DDR unit is available for the S2, S3 and S4 robotic systems.
A complement to the DDR unit is the switch cable. The switch cable allows for both the floppy and DDR units to be connected simultaneously, which amongst other things simplifies transferring of programs between floppy disks and the DDR.

A PC software application, called "DDR PC Software", is delivered with the DDR unit, which allows for easy backups of the SD memory card

directly to the computer hard drive - something that has not been possible with the S2 or S3 systems! The PC backup can then easily be restored to the same (or any other) SD card delivered by Swerob.
For the S4 systems, the PC software let's you edit robot programs and handle files directly on the SD card!
